What kind of ECC Proliant family uses?

I've read a lot descriptions about this technology containing "forms 72-bit syndrome and that allows to correct 1-bit errors". But how exactly it does? There are a lot ECC-capable algorythms like Reed-Solomon, for example, but it's never mentioned wich of them does HP use.

Can anyone, please, make it clear for me?
