HP NC522SFP 10GbE NIC - What's difference between the nx3 and p3p drivers?

The question pretty much sums it up. On the drivers and downloads page for the NC522SFP NIC it lists two drivers, one labelled as a P3P driver, the other as an nx3 driver. Is there any functional difference between the two?
