This is not specific "blade" system question but we recently acquired a Superdome 2 enclosure wth 4 CB900 i2 blades.
The question is the the DVD module (its DVD drive + USB port). We've used the USB port with no problem but no luck with the DVD drive. We "mounted" the drive ( with 11iv3 dc-oe media 0911 media) via the OA (using partition 1 and using the Virtual Devices tab then Connect to Enclosure DVD button) with no problem. When we jump back to EFI and run MAP, it shows a hardware path containing the string ../USB... but no path reflecting DVD . Thinking the USB path was the DVD, we added this path as a boot option. Then when we attempted to boot from it..EFI immediately reports..."boot failed"!
WE try other DVD media and get the the results...Help?
As another option, we downloaded the OE (ie to my laptop) and mounted it as virtual media and were able to boot/install the OE with no problem.
