Any issues with mixing Flex-10 and Flex-10/10D modules in same chassis?
Is there any issues with having both the 8 uplink Flex-10 modules (455880-B21) and the newer 10 uplink port Flex-10/10D (638526-B21) in the same chassis?
I realize the horizontal pairs should be the same, but can I put a pair of the older Flex-10's in bays 1 and 2 and a pair of Flex-10/10D in bay 5 and 6?
We have four C7000 chassis. Two of the newer chassis have the 8 uplink Flex-10 Ethernet modules in bays 1, 2, 5, and 6.
However, the other two C7000 each have four of the old Virtualconnect 1/10Gb ethernet modules (way past end of life..).
We're in the process of getting those replaced and are getting the newer Flex-10/10D units.
Instead of just putting the newer modules all in the "old" chassis, what I was thinking of doing was shuffling around the existing Flex-10 in bay's 5 and 6 of the newer chassis, with the new Flex-10/10D so that each chassis would have 8 port Flex-10 in bay 1 & 2, and Flex-10/10D in bay 5 & 6.
This would have all four chassis with the same configuration.
