Security Bulletin Digest - email notifications gone?

ITRC has recently changed the method for subscribing to security bulletin digests. The "improved" method appears to be more of a sales pitch for products and services and I cannot locate a selection for notification of security alerts. The email I received via this new subscription method did contain a browser link to security bulletins; is this effectively eliminating the email for notification of new security vulnerabilities?

There will still be email notification of new and revised security bulletins. If you have signed up with Subscriber's Choice and if you have not opted out of HP email you should receive a message titled "Your Daily HP Driver and Support Alert/Notification". It should have a link titled "my drivers and support alerts". Following that link should take you to a page with a short description of the new security bulletin and a link to the bulletin text.

If you are receiving notifications since signing up for Subscriber's Choice you have not opted out of HP email. If you are not sure you can check by going to http://www.hp.com and selecting "Privacy ststement". In the US the section to examine is "7. Your privacy preferences and opting out".

I have not opted out intentionally from HP mailings and did receive a HP daily driver and support alert email on 2/28. Following browser links I get to security bulletin archives, but this is cumbersome. The format I prefer is that of the Security Bulletin Digest; it's concise and to the point. I last received the Digest email on Sunday, 2/22, which contained old alerts and is already a discussion point in this forum.

Steven, what day did you last receive a Security Bulletin Digest? If none since 2/22 then that's great!

I believe the last digest mailed to the old ITRC mailing list was this one:

Per the attached bulletin, the current ITRC security bulletin mailing is being replaced by a new "Subscriber's Choice" mailing list service.

March 2nd, was the cutover date to the new mailing list service. In order to continue receiving the HP-UX Security Bulletin notifications, you will need to subscribe to the new mailing list.
