Windows 2019 S2D - HP 621SFP28 driver compatibility
Just wanted to check if anyone out there has experienced anything similar.
S2D Cluster has been running fine for months, an engineer performed a SSP update in the middle of July and ever since then we have been experiencing cluster timeouts, vm crashes etc, appears that the backup is saturating the storage network.
The only thing I can think after checking and rebuilding everything network wise and still seeing the same issue is that the driver now installed on the 621SFP28 adapters is not compatible or has issues.
Previous installed driver was this one:-
Driver Provider: Cavium Inc
Driver Date: 20/09/2019
Driver Version: 8.42.6.0
and current driver below:-
Driver Provider: Marvell Semiconductor Inc
Driver Date: 05/05/2020
Driver Version: 8.50.8.0

Re: Windows 2019 S2D - HP 621SFP28 driver compatibility
Hello Colin Benson,
Thank you for sharing your query.
When we checked the driver for HP 621SFP28. This card is a QLogic Card. This card uses following set of driver:-
Windows qevbd Driver , 8.42.10.0
Windows qend Driver , 8.42.6.0c
Windows qefcoe Driver , 8.40.5.0a
Windows qeois Driver , 8.42.1.0
Windows qefcd Crash Dump Driver , 8.34.2.0
Windows qeiscd Crash Dump Driver , 8.38.1.0
Windows qxdiag Driver , 8.14.0.0
So please confirm if this card is using these Drivers. We do not see any Cavium Marvell Driver released for this card.
So please check if correct driver is installed for this card.
