Assisted Installation?

Assisted Installation?

Probably a quite simple one, but I'm stuck. Booting from the SmartStart CD I keep getting stuck at step one, looking at the System Configuration Utility and the other 8 choices. The only thing I haven't tried on this menu is the System Erase Utility because it sounds like it will blow away any existing setup on the server. I try the other options, restart, and there I am again, staring at step one.

What (obvious thing!) am I missing to get on to step two and then to an assisted installation?

Server's a Proliant ml370

thanks....

Re: Assisted Installation?

It seems that this server has already been configured before. What are you trying to do with this server? Are you re-installing it, you can easily click on 'System Erase' and go ahead with a new Smartstart install.
If you just want to reset the server's configuration, you can just disconnect the drives to the SCSI/RAID controller and click on 'System Erase' and then reconfigure the server.
A Proliant a day keeps the competition away!
