Event IDs 1010 1015 1017 2003 Perfcounters
I have 3 servers with Management Agents Version 6.00, W2K Adv Server, SP2 & SP3 mix. 1 server has 1010, 1015, 2003 Perfctr errors related to msscntrs.dll, aspperf.dll, infoctrs.dll, w3ctrs.dll. The 2003 errors have the error "..service does not match the trusted performance library information stored in the registry..". I tried a new MS Hotfix recommended by Compaq Support and Microsoft to replace the Perfctrs.dll on a server with 1017/2003 errors, and it did not work. How do I fix this? The only common factors between all 3 servers are IIS and Management Agents Version 6.00 installed. Thanks.

Re: Event IDs 1010 1015 1017 2003 Perfcounters
Microsoft is working on several fixes to Perfcounters that were introduced, supposedly, in Win2kSP3 (although you say you also have SP2 showing it; maybe a hotfix applied that introduced it?). This is definitely a MS issue. We've seen in the lab that SP4 actually addresses some of this (although that's not final yet). Not sure about Windows Server 2003...

Re: Event IDs 1010 1015 1017 2003 Perfcounters
A few suggestions for solving your Perflib events:
Event 1010: enable the TCP/IP counters through exctrlst.exe (resource kit)
Event 1010, 1015, 2003: reload the IIS performance DLLs and reboot the server (see MS kb article 267831)
Event 1017 is still a mystery for me.
