Keyboard Not Present ERROR
I can only get the Remote Insight Cards remote keyboard to work if a keyboard is plugged in the pass though cable, else the server, on boot, gives a 'Keyboard Not Present' error. The remote mouse works fine with no mouse plugged in. I have tried two different cards / cables. With the same result.
The card is plugged into Slot 1 on a new ML530 Server with the internal power cable.
I have ran the system erase utillity twice and tried reinstalling from the smart start 4.9 CD with no luck.
And also reset the board a few times, still no luck
I thought the Card should work without a keyboard plugged in,
Headless.

Re: Keyboard Not Present ERROR
You should be able to run this in headless mode, here are a couple of thins to try. first make sure you are not using the external "Y" cable for the keyboard/mouse. Since you have the internal 16 pin cable already plugged in, it will not allow the keyboard to operate properly if it is also used. Second, if the message still keeps coming up bring up F10 config and press CNTL-A at the main menu. This allows you to bring up system configuration in advanced mode. Choose config hardware, then view/edit details. Under the advanced features, there is a setting about hot plug keyboard, change this to disable and it will allow the server to work in headless mode.
