MSCS Clusters
Hi all,
I have the 2 nodes of the cluster showing up fin in IM7 but I haven't been able to figure out how to get the cluster to show up. Is there a special agent I need to run?
Any help (including being pointed to the right doc) would be great.
Thanx,
Chad

Re: MSCS Clusters
I searched for the cluster name from the manual discovery edit page. Then select cluster as the type. After that, the system will need to run through it's data collection tasks before it shows up under cluster in the devices view.

Re: MSCS Clusters
Assuming these are Proliant servers running in a cluster, you also have to go into the Insight Manager agents (go to control panel, and then find the "HP Management Agents" control panel icon).
You have to turn on the cluster component as the list of components to run.
Then, bounce your insight agents, and then run the cluster identification task in CIM.
Then, you go to the cluster settings in the settings menu and add that cluster to be viewed by you in CIM.
That's it.
But this only works for proliant clusters. I'm still trying to get it to recognize clusters running on HP (pre-merger) to show up as MSCS clusters for CIM.
