"Network Adapter Link Down" in Integrated Log
Whenever my servers are rebooted for maintenance, I get the "Network Adapter Link Down" error in my Integrated Logs, which causes IM7 to report the servers in Major error state. I then have to go and mark these items as Repaired manually for each server. Is there any way to script this (clearing Integrated Logs), or even better to stop it from happening altogether (maybe set a longer threshold for Link Down)?

Re: "Network Adapter Link Down" in Integrated Log
It sounds like you have an extra nic that is not being utilized on the server. While in windows, Manually disable the nic by going to settings -> network and dialup connections. Disable the nic that is not being use. This will stop your major status.
Let me know if that works for you.

Re: "Network Adapter Link Down" in Integrated Log
Bill - the best answer is to update the agenst on these systems (I recommend 6.4 as it has all the latest security fixes.) The later agents no longer let a Link Down event in the IML drive all the servers to a Major state (it will still be Major when the link is actually down, but it will return to Normal when the link is restored.)
Dude, we've been totally misled by our album covers!

Re: "Network Adapter Link Down" in Integrated Log
Thanks guys...
We have seen the extra NIC issue. We have chosen not to team the NIC's in a lot of our servers and thus have had to disable them in Device Manager to avoid the IML link down.
I have a project pending to update the agents on all of our servers. We have versions as old as 4.20, as new as 5.50. Hopefully doing that will help our problem.
