SNMP settings
Also, should I setup SNMP trap communities as well as destinations or just the settings under 'security'?

Re: SNMP settings
1) change all SNMP settings inside the OS on each server. This is both security and trap destination. You can do this one-by-one, via a .reg-file that you distribute or via the Management Agents (if >= 5.30).
2) create a IM7 control task, that will change the SNMP settings on each device inside his database
3) test your implementation via the Test Trap button in your Control Panel - Management Agents.

Gert Luyten.

Re: SNMP settings
On the servers, under the 'Traps' tab, I have both of my community names (i.e. public and private) with the server running Insight Manager as the destination.
Then under the 'Security' tab, I have my public string set to 'READ CREATE' and my private string set to 'READ ONLY' Is this the way it should be?
