Re: BL460c ILO2 problem after firmware (ROM flash) upgrade to 1.70

--BL460c Physical server Win2003 x32--
Hi,
I cannot run the cp011257.exe (1.11.1.2) without an error and still getting hpqilo2 warnings (error 57 mailnly) I rebooted server with Smartstart 8.50 which includes PSP 8.25. which I was advsied to use to remedy something else...
I really need to update all my blades, firmware, PSPs etc and I'd like to use smartstart which seems to be the most thorough way, but I cant rely on the some of the drvers within. Are HP going to re-release smartstart or current PSP and how do I fix the error 57 please?

Re: BL460c ILO2 problem after firmware (ROM flash) upgrade to 1.70

Same issue here with my 460c blades.. just upgraded to from 1.9.0.0 and 1.70

1.11.2.0 and 1.78 firmware

Will see how it goes. I plan to disable ASR if needed

Re: BL460c ILO2 problem after firmware (ROM flash) upgrade to 1.70

Update on the x64 Unsigned Driver: I initially downloaded an incorrectly signed driver from the bl465c product page (cp011258.exe). I just checked again and there appears to be a new component, cp011354.exe that is the correctly signed version of the 1.11.2.0 iLO controller driver for 2008 x64.

Re: BL460c ILO2 problem after firmware (ROM flash) upgrade to 1.70

The problem solution requires both:
- update to iLO 2 v1.78 or later
- update the Windows Management Controller Driver to 1.11.2.0 or later

Updating one or the other is not a complete fix.

Re: BL460c ILO2 problem after firmware (ROM flash) upgrade to 1.70

I have firmware 1.78 and driver version 1.15 and i still get the crashes described in the custom advisory. Problem still exist.

The system has been rebooted since the upgrade of the driver.

Anyone else still has problems? Looks like a major issue to me.

Re: BL460c ILO2 problem after firmware (ROM flash) upgrade to 1.70

Ignore my last reply, I have only updated the HP iLO Management Channel Interface Driver to version 1.15, but I have forgotten to update the HP Proliant iLO 2 Management Controller Driver to version 1.12 (found initially under System Devices in the Device Manager with older drivers (mine were 1.4))

Re: BL460c ILO2 problem after firmware (ROM flash) upgrade to 1.70

Hi,

I am still having this problem altough i have updated my firmware to the latest version.

HP iLO Management Channel Interface Driver 1.15.0.0
HP ProLiant iLO 2 Management Controller Driver 1.12.0.0

Compaq Remote Insight ROM 1.79

Does anyone have any ideas? as it seems HP haven't got a clue.

What are your symptoms now, still getting both the event log errors and ASR/Blue Screen reboots occuring?

Check Device Manager to validate that you do in fact have the latest versions actually installed. VCagent and Support Pack may show you do have them installed, when they may not be.

Also check the versions on your nc373i adapters and nc373i Virtual Bus Device. I had two BL460c's blue screen on me this weekend because the adapter driver and virtual bus driver where not at the same level.

Yes, i am still reciving errors in the event log and the occasional BSOD/ASR

i have checked in device manager and all drivers are correct.
