DL 380 G4 - can I back up the iLO licence?

I've got a DL 380 G4 I need to redeploy. I can't remember whether you get an iLO licence with the server as such, or whether we paid extra.

If I were to format this server, how would I get the iLO back up and running?

The iLO license key gets installed in the iLO. re-deploying the OS will not wipe out the iLO key
