HP SAN MSA1000 and Proliant DL360/360 with HBA disk alarm on all servers
Hi,
We have a HP SAN MSA1000 connected to serveral Proliant DL360/380`s. But when a disk is removed or added. All machines give me a HP-SIM alert that a disk had failed. Even though the server isnt using this disk for his own storage.
All servers can see al disk in the san. Is it possible to let a server only see the physical disks which it belongs to.
Yesterday a collegue of mine replaced 3 disk and i recieved 80 SMS Messages of this because all servers a reporting the disk issues.
My Collegue is the only one with acces to the san switch and im responsible for our HP-SIM environment.
How can i connect my San and San Switch to HP-SIM to monitor the switch en san directly ?
