Best Way to Run PSP's Against New Servers?

What is the most efficient way to update all drivers and firmware when a new server is built? I have uploaded all necessary psp's to my Version Control Repository, and I can see all the updates when I configure the local version control agent. However, is there a command or something I can run against that repository to install the latest psp files without having to manually select them? Would hpsum work? If so, will it work in the repository as I don't see it there?

U can use HPSIM to deploy when u have a VCA in the local machine and configured to use a VCRM with PSP.
Or else, extract latest psp bundle and execute hpsum in that. hpsum can deploy psp locally and remotely too.

In our environment we take the Firmware Maintenance CD and make it PXE bootable as described in this thread:

Not the smartest way, but it works quite well. :-)

In SIM you can look at the Deploy menu options and then deploy the Proliant Support pack and other updates. This is the recommended way moving forward from SIM/RDP 6.0. You might as well get in the habit now though it will be better documented when SIM 6.0 comes out in Jan2010
When does it come out....Sign up for a notification

For using SUM. See this thread

Look at some of Michaels other answers as he is the SUM man.

This question is best suited for the Deployment forum.
