BL30p, Problems connecting to System Management Homepage
Folks,
I have 15 BL30p's running in one Enclosure. All of them are running 2k3 Enterprise. I'm having real problems with the performance of HP Systems Management Homepage on everyone of them. They are configured to connect to a central SIM Server (4.2 SP2), and are all up to date PSP wise. I can never browse to any of them as the browser times out, (except if i do it locally), and they do not register properly with the SIM server, ie, none of them report VCA status, some periodically don't report hardware status properly.
Is this a specific problem, or is it something to do with the network setup of them ? 2 IP's, one a private management network and one a public network.... is there anyway to Bind the agent to the private management network only ?
Thanks for any thoughts in advance.

Re: BL30p, Problems connecting to System Management Homepage
If you are using SS7.20 or later you can bind the "web agent" portion of the agents to the private management network. The Systems Management Homepage can be configured to bind to specific IP addresses. This has nothing to do with how SNMP responds only the SMH itself.
