Central Management Server run on VMware Host?

Hello,

We just migrated our physical server hosting the CMS to a VMware environment. There does not seem to be any issues yet but, I was wondering if anyone else has had issues with running there CMS on a VMware host? Are there any known issues or is it a best practice to use physical vs virtual.

HPSIM 5.1 is officially supported on virtual servers.

You might want to look at Chapter 9 of the HPSIM installation guide as that part of HPSIM needs a physical server. If you don't care about that functionality then go virtual.

...however I do want to add that you should run your environment through the HP SIM Sizer from http://www.hp.com/go/hpsim --> Technical Support and make sure you can provision a virtual machine that meets the criteria.
