Difference beetwen "powering on" and "activating" servers.

Hi,

I'd like to know what difference exists between "powering on" and "activating" a logical server in Insight Software.

Does anybody know the difference?

Thanks.

Re: Difference beetwen "powering on" and "activating" servers.

"Activating" means associating a Logical Server profile with a physical or virtual server which does not require powering it on.

Thanks David.

I asked this question because I'm beginning with Insight Software 6.0 and I'm creating a cloud computing ecosystem.

My intention is add computing power to my services. I've seen the server action named "Add servers", but this option only creates a copy of server.

Do you know if exists any way to increase computing power (e.g. from 2 cores to 4 cores)?

Yours JuanFco.
