Monitoring VMware ESX 3.5i host and VMs
I've recently added my ESX host servers to insight manager. After identifying the systems the virtual machines began showing up in insight manager. About a third of the machines are reported "unreachable" because IM is using either there backup nic or cluster nic and not the production interface. How can I tell IM what interface to use?

Re: Monitoring VMware ESX 3.5i host and VMs
Tom
if you have windows guest systems on your ESX, remove them and discover them as idividual servers, thisd will then use there production NIC
if you use Linux guest systems install the HP agents and gain discover them as idividual servers.
cheers
