Moving HP SIM but keeping DB on same box

Hi all,

I have done a search for this, but can't find the same scenario we have, hence this post.

We have Systems Insight Manager 4.1 with SP1 - Windows installed on an HP DL380 G2 with the SQL databse on another server and I now have the opportunity to migrate it to a G3 box which is better spec'd. We're also about to implement HO OVOW and NNM (on a 3rd server) and I'd rather do this move now than wait until after OVOW/NNM is installed.

How can I do this? The servername and ip address will change, but I will sort out the SNMP stuff, just need some pointers on how to move SIM itself.

Should I just install a new copy on the new server and (somehow) point it to the existing database? Is it that easy? :-)
