NIC Agent shows "Link Failure" for disabled PCIe NIC's
Hi!
I have a problem in HP Systems Insight Manager 6 that the status of a particular server is always with a Major Alert because there's PCIe NIC's not in use.
The problem doesn't occurs with embedded NIC's, when the interface is disabled, the status is "Unknown".
My server is a DL585 G2 with VMware ESX 3.0.1.
Ty.

and adding this to the boot script (etc/rc.local file) makes it function each time you reboot

Re: NIC Agent shows "Link Failure" for disabled PCIe NIC's
Hi,
I think that there is a problem with the version of the ESX (3.0.1) and the HP Management Agent (8.1.1), because in other server with ESX 3.5 with HPMA 8.4, just putting the interface down works for me.
