SMH proxying?

Hello

I have unusual config:

NetA -- NetB -- NetC

In NetA there are PCs and laptops used for support purposes. In NetB I have a server with HPSIM installed and in NetC I have servers to be monitored/managed.

Problem is that PCs in NetA are not allowed to connect to NetC. NetB is allowed to connect to NetC and NetA is allowed to connect to NetB

When I point the web browser to https://HPSIM:50000 it works fine, everything is discovered and nice. But when I click on the SMH link on any server page it opens new browser window and tries to connect to the particular server directly (https://server:2381).

My question is if there is any possibility to use the managed server's SMH somehow proxied via HPSIM and avoid direct connection from NetA to NetC? Also there's security issue and I can't simply install the web proxy on the HPSIM server, it must be done within HPSIM.

Of course I don't have this problem when I vnc/rdp to the HPSIM server and work from there.

Is this possible to proxy the requests from NetA workstations to NetC servers??

Kind regards

K Pior

Re: SMH proxying?

You already discovered the workaround--connecting via remote console.

Re: SMH proxying?

Hi David
Yes I know that :)
The problem is that it is one more step to be done: open remote desktop session and then open the browser. Unfortunately people are lazy and if something can be done within 5 clicks instead of 6 they will do 5 clicks.
Funny, the guys who asked me to do this alredy know about the remote desktop solution but they are higher in company hierarchy than me....

Kind regards
