Trouble getting SIM 7.1 and x9300/x9700 to talk
I'll keep this short. We have two x9320's and one x9720. All three have the right SMNP string set up, and SIM has discovered them in the basic sense. I'm missing info like serial number and product ID, but I'm not sure if this info is dicoverable.
What I'm finding is that the systems will send an email directly to a configured address, but do not seem to be sending SMNP traps to SIM. And now just today, we saw a dead drive in a system which wasn't reported in an email or by SIM
Our Unix guy checked it out and said the systems are setup with the SIM server as an SNMP destination.
Does anyone know what else might be needed to get these storage systems reporting in properly?
