Unable to retrieve the Microsoft Cluster Service data.

Resolution: Validate that the cluster is running, that the first SNMP community string for the cluster and its nodes is correct, that the HP Insight Management Agents are installed on each cluster node and that the cluster is
properly configured. Using WMI only to identify cluster node will not be sufficient as well.

The above error is received whenever I try to view the details of the Exchange Cluster.

I have followed the instructions to the letter to install the agents etc...
Can anyone assist?
Thanks

Re: Unable to retrieve the Microsoft Cluster Service data.

It worked for me after installing latest PSP and configuring both nodes through SIM (under configure/repair wizard).

Prefer using WBEM for MSCS monitoring, use SNMP as last resort.

Also add Cluster name (virtual cluster name) in discovery to allow SIM identify cluster, rather than individual node.

Let us know if you have already followed it. There could be WMI issues.

Re: Unable to retrieve the Microsoft Cluster Service data.

No success unfortunately...
I can connect to the nodes with SNMP, WBEM/WMI, ws-man and sign in.

The nodes show up as part of a cluster in the server list page but when I try to go to the cluster details I get the error above.

Re: Unable to retrieve the Microsoft Cluster Service data.

Any update about the issue?

We experiece the same problem with the next version, HP SIM for Windows.

Already checked http://g1w0134.austin.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=110&prodSeriesId=489496&prodTypeId=18964&objectID=c03173624

and resolved nothing.

How can this affect several diferent editions of the same software and still remain unresolved.
