Why does Resetting the ILO cause a USB Storage trap

Recentky I found that when I rest the ILO board irecieve the following traps

(SNMP) USB storage device removed (1009)

(SNMP) USB storage device attached (1008

THis occurres on DL360 G7 ILO 3 Windows 2008 R2

I do not believe it is a problem but I would like to understand it.

I might be wrong but I think it's because of the way that iLO3 interacts with the BIOS/system board. You can mount media within iLO3 as it plugs straight into certain low level interfaces on the board.

Re: Why does Resetting the ILO cause a USB Storage trap

Thank you for the reply. I'm thinking it maybe what you are saying but I'm wondering if there is a way of identifying what is actually triggering the alert. The alert is about a USB storage device but there is no USB device attached

Is it the agent sensing the ILO detaching and reattaching?  Is this what everyone is seeing consistently - a reset triggers the USB storage alert?
