16/48 Port HP Serial Console Server (AF102A) - No BIOS output

We're currently working with HP SCS (both AF101A and AF102A). We have succesfully connect to the DL360G7 via SCS with RJ45-DB9 DCE Adapter (AF103A) but just recently found that when the server restart, the BIOS output *not* shown correctly in the terminal. The text shown on the terminal just some bizarre chars like below:

d÷iíú

On the other hand, we can clearly see the BIOS output when directly connect from laptop to server using DB-9 cable without SCS.

Anyone have experincing this one or do i have set some port option on the SCS. Information about the SCS and one of the port is follow:

Re: 16/48 Port HP Serial Console Server (AF102A) - No BIOS output

Hello everyone..

About the problem above.. now solved.

The problem caused when serial configuration in bios (rbsu) is set to auto, seems like the server did not notice there are serial cable connected to the serial console server (SCS).

So, to fix the problem is to set serial in the bios to e.g. "COM1 9600".  Below, we set the config with hpasmcli, so no need to restart the server and enter the rbsu.

# hpasmcli -s "SET SERIAL BIOS COM1 9600"
