HP ProLiant DL380p Gen8

Hi All,

For the past few days, one of my servers rebooted and is now stuck on Power and Thermal Calibration Complete Screen,

I am completely out of ideas.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Wayne

Re: HP ProLiant DL380p Gen8

Hi,

Few suggestions:

1. Update all the firmware and drivers to latest. (Makesure BIOS and ILO updated to latest)

2. Unplug any USB devices/Disconnnect any KVM connected to it and check.

3. Check IML for any errors (Kindly Post here if does not work)

Hope this helps!

regards,

Sudhir

Re: HP ProLiant DL380p Gen8

Thank you for coming back to me, but i have been able to get past that issue now.

Thie issue i am having now is that the server is not loaded my ESXi,

No activity on the drives at all.

I have pressed F8 during bootup to look at the smart array and i am getting the following error

Slot 0 HP Smart Array P420i Controller

Module Critical Error

Action: Replace Cache Module

Controller is disabled until this problem is resolved.
