Hi everyone,
I have some question regarding those two models of racks.
Checking here http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12402_div/12402_div.HTML i've found that the difference is that the 10642 model is 60cm wide and 123cm deep, while the 10842 is 80cm wide and 100cm deep.
Apart from that, the 10642 costs around 800$ and the 10842 costs around 1800$.
Does anyone know why that difference in price, and whats the advantage between the two models?
Thanks!

Solution
The 800mm wide rack has the additional space and component features that support the management of large numbers of data cables.
Typically, the 800mm wide rack is used for data switches. This rack becomes the central connection point for multiple racks to communicate.

Re: HP Rack 10642 vs 10842
Indeed, the extra space seems to be used for easy cabling through the sides.
Thanks!
