Inauthentic HPE drives
After having a HP Proliant DL 380 G 10 in production for a year, windows will not boot and we are getting messages that the drives are not HPE authentic drives. Does anybody know why this error could be occuring and how to correct? HP P408i controller with 12GB expander card.

Re: Inauthentic HPE drives
This could be a firmware issue.
Make sure the controller and the expander are up to date.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Inauthentic HPE drives
Hello,
Make sure SA P408i controller & SAS expander firmware updated with the latest.
How many hard disks having the issue.
Suspected issue with the hard disk caddy having the issue. I resolved 2-3 cases after HDD caddy replacement.
