New release: What you need to know about HPE OneView 8

We continue to innovate for our customers, bringing new products and capabilities to the compute management portfolio. We are pleased to release HPE OneView version 8.x. HPE OneView gives you integrated IT infrastructure management software that automates IT operations and simplifies infrastructure lifecycle management across compute, storage, and networking.

Version 8.0 updates: now with Redfishยฎ support for enhanced management of HPE ProLiant Gen11 servers

HPE OneView release 8 will support the latest HPE ProLiant Gen11 servers using the Redfishยฎ Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF) interfaces to provide richer inventory data and alerting.

What does this mean for HPE ProLiant Gen11 server management? HPE OneView provides more detailed server analysis, reporting, and firmware management tasks with redesigned views for all sub-resources and new views for network adapters, processors, power supplies, chassis, and fans.

In addition, you will discover that:

  • Health monitoring becomes easier, with more descriptive health alerts and alert resolutions.
  • Redfishยฎ Events are used to detect server changes, generate alerts and trigger refreshes of server state โ€“ providing increased reliability in event delivery, even during network outages.
  • Server representation is enhanced with additional server inventory caching for persistent server inventory and detailed state.
  • The enhanced Device Inventory page has been redesigned to provide additional slot and device information.
