Lock Disk

We have a two node cluster running on red hat 4.6. It misses the lock disk and we need to add the lock disk to the cluster. Can some one please provide me steps to add lock disk to the cluster.

Re: Lock Disk

Shalom,

Is this a service guard cluster?

If so, you edit the cluster.ascii file (it can be named a number of things).

cmquerycl
cmcheckconf
cmapplyconf

That should bring the cluster back up.

Re: Lock Disk

Thanks for your answer, yes it is a service guard cluster. Can we run the cmquerycl while the cluster is up and running? Or the cluster needs to be down for that?

Re: Lock Disk

Shalom,

The cluster can be up.

For the exact syntax:

Sorry it took so long to get back to you.

Re: Lock Disk

Hi

I Face the same issue in My Environment 2 or 3 times.

Take Down Time from Customer.
Frist check the disk & vg status & perform the below steps.

1.Take the backup of cluster.ascii file.
2.Down the pkgs running on both node
3.cmcheckconf -v -C /etc/cmcluster/cluster.ascii
4.cmapplyconf -v -C cluster.ascii
5.Start the pkg & check
Thanks
