Hi,
I want to implement Oracle RAC on a 2 nodes clusters .
I understand I need Oracle Database software and HP Serviceguard extension for RAC.
Is there anything else that I need especially on the Oracle side ?
Best regards,
Yaboto.

SolutionUnfortunately HP has discontinued the development of the "Serviceguard for Linux" product, so even HP recommends against using it in new deployments. It is now a dead-end product: there will not be new versions of it for new releases of Linux distributions. It is still supported, but on its way to the end of its product lifetime: see this HP document for details. The support for Serviceguard for Linux will end at the end of April 2014.
You should go to www.oracle.com, find the documentation for the Oracle database version you need, and then read the RAC documentation for that specific version. From there, you'll find a list of clustering products that can be used with RAC on Linux, and the configuration requirements and recommendations specific to each clustering product. On Linux, Serviceguard is not the only way to set up Oracle RAC.
