Network Protector not showing any devices/information
Hi,
I'm setting up an SDN demo environment and the Network Protector app is not working correctly.
I can't get the switch recognized by the app even though the switch shows up in the controller's web interface (i.e. it shows up in the topology)
Even after deleting the SNMP credentials on the app, creating my own on the switch, and then registering the device again, still no luck.
Thanks for any help in advance.

Re: Network Protector not showing any devices/information
please Make Sure to create a snmpv3 user not using the cli wizard.
during the snmp configuration on the switch you will be asked to configure the user via this wizard, reply "n" and then create the user via the cli.
Also, make sure that the switch has an IP manually configured on it.
Regards,
Antonio

Re: Network Protector not showing any devices/information
Do switches get an ip from a dhcp server?
If they have an IP manually configured and if did not create the user using the CLI Wizard, please add details concerning the controller version and installation details 'is it a VM), the switch you are using, the code switches are running, logs on
the controller and topology.
Regards,
Antonio

Re: Network Protector not showing any devices/information
I forgot to ask you to check and eventually attach logs of switches involved,

Re: Network Protector not showing any devices/information
Hi Antonio,
I'm going to try a fresh install of controller and app. If I encounter the problem again after a new install I'll come back to the forum.
Thanks for your help,
Michael
