DL100 G2 2TB Sorage server message in event log

I've been getting several errors, warnings and one or two concerning ionformational messages in my even log. I cannot find anything online to assist me in tracking them down so I thought I'd try posting them in here and hope for some direction in resolving them. The server is running win2k3 SS if that's important. The Hdwatchdog messages seem most common on droves 1 and 3, however I have seen tham on all drives at one time or another. The Error messages in the system log are as follows:

I have this error, too:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: HP Storage Server Management Service

Google didn't turn anything up. I was hoping you'd solved the issue and wouldn't mind let me know how I could do so.

Re: DL100 G2 2TB Sorage server message in event log

Well I did a bunch of things to finally get it resolved. First support suggested I had a software misconfiguration and had me play with timeout values in removable storage, but that didn't help. They also had me install "HP Storage Server Service Release 6.2." This update "seemed" to offer some help, but the same old events persisted. Eventually, we had an HP tech come out and replace the unit. Well he replaced the unit but brought our existing drives and array controller over from the old system. This "seemed" to solve the problem for a little while, but eventually we went back to the same old. One thing to be careful of is our system had a DVD burner in it, the one he brought out only had a reader so watch that you get your optical drive switched over too if they are not the same. Finally on a second service call the the tech replaced the array controller card and all messages went away to this day (knock on wood). Anyhow, the root of the problem seemed to be with a failing or bad array controller. Had replaceing the controller not worked, the only thing left was to replace the drives themselves.

Hope this helps

Re: DL100 G2 2TB Sorage server message in event log

Hdwatchdog, I get the same error also followed by Process dirquota.exe timed out (8 seconds)

the whole NAS was replaced flushed the BIOS on the controller then suddenley everything starting working. two months later I get the same problem.

its usually starts when users start to lose their connection to their PST( I know they are not supported cross the network. but I have been using for 4 years.

I find if I restart the NAS everything starts working ok. this now starts to happen from time to time. any ideas?

Thanks
