HPE Store Easy 1660 connection with DEL 380 G9 Server.
Dear Experts,
We have one HPE Store Easy 1660 and installed (Q2P92A) HPE StoreEasy 10GbE 2-port 530SFP+ Adaptor with SFP module.
Another side I have DL 380 G9 Server, installed with (779793-B21) HPE Ethernet 10G 2-port 546SFP+ Adaptor with SFP module,
Now I want to connect store easy storage to DL 380 server directly through fiber optic cable, and wants storage drive to be appear in DL 380 disk manager to use, is it posible if yes then how it will be configure.
Regards

Re: HPE Store Easy 1660 connection with DEL 380 G9 Server.
Hi
This isn't possible. The 1660 is a Windows Server, as is the DL380 (assume you're using Windows). You can't manage a server's disks from another server (unless they are clustered)
What are you trying to achieve

Re: HPE Store Easy 1660 connection with DEL 380 G9 Server.
Hi
The 1660 is a NAS
You could create a NAS Share on the 1660 and use this to backup the data from the DL380

Re: HPE Store Easy 1660 connection with DEL 380 G9 Server.
Dear,
Ok is this NAS share will appear in DL 380 Disk manager as drive or not, because in backup application it should appear as a drive to select and start backup on it.

Yes, you can create a share and mount it as a drive (see below, instructions should be the same on all Windows OS)

DPM seems to support iSCSI. You could try the following
