iSCSI on a DL100

I've just noticed that the 1500s DL100 supports an optional iSCSI feature pack.

Can anyone point me to some information on this?

What do I need to do to configure my NAS for iSCSI?

Re: iSCSI on a DL100

Hello,

The Microsoft iSCSI Software Target is licensed as such:

Licensed for use with HP ProLiant Storage Servers with either the Standard or Enterprise Edition of the Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 Operating System (x86 and x64 versions supported)

The SKU is T4433A. So... you would need R2 on your NAS1500 to be able to use the Microsoft iSCSI target.

Re: iSCSI on a DL100

Thanks for the information.

I've already upgraded my NAS OS to R2 and done the necessary updates. What I don't understand is what iSCSI can provide me with and how to enable it. Do I have to install any software or is it automatically an iSCSI target now?
