ML350 G4p setup troubles

I'm having trouble with the setup of a new ML350 G4p. I'm installing two SATA drives (preferably RADI 1) but when SmartStart runs it does not recognizes the drives. I tried placing them on docks 4 and 5, single drive on dock 3, on dock 1 and 2, but nothing. I made the floppy from the SmartStart CD and installed the controllers from F6 upon OS installation and still the drives are not recognized. Any ideas???
