NAS 1000s Recovery
I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I picked up a couple of used 1000s and consequently do not have the password to get into the primary OS. I have the recovery DVD, but of course do not the proper DVD drive to boot from it.
However, the Recovery OS was still factory fresh, so I was able to boot into that and reformat the data drive, etc.
Is there a way to get the Recovery OS to write over the Primary OS?
Can someone confirm that if I buy the DC373A external bay that I can put a standard off the shelf DVD writer in there and it will work? Or is there a different option available now to be able to recover?
Thanks in advance...
