NAS 1200s downgraden to WSS 2000?

Is it possible to downgrade a NAS1200s to WSS 2000? Is it maybe possible using the NAS1000s Quick Restore CD for the NAS1200s?

I tried that awhile back - we found that WSS2003 was on the buggy side, and tried to downgrade - the Restore CD that came with the old 1000s units doesn't work at all.
