NAS 1200s not booting / Not restore the DVD

I have nas 1200s (4 x160GB) model, the problems is not booting ..like means.... saying some OS files missing or corrept. I have with me original (351780-001) Quick restore DVD. i connect USB LG & Sumsung DVD rom, but not able to restore the OS missed files again.
Can you help me out this problems.

what do you mean by unable to restore OS
did you get error messages ?

you have to have a certain type of usb for the restore disc to work.

try doing a search on the forums and maybe you will see a load of posts on this matter.

I used a compaq multibay with a compaq dvd and that worked fine for me.

Make sure you make a backup when its done
