NAS 3-in-1 Docking Station - Synchronizing Offline Files & Folders

I have a customer who has a new nw9440 and a new HP NAS 3-in-1 Docking Station. He wants to be able to automatically synchronize files that have been changed while he is out of the office.

His "My Documents" folder on the nw9440 has been redirected to a location on the NAS which has, in turn, been mapped as a network drive on the laptop. When he logs off and disconnects from the NAS Docking Station, the offline files are set to synchronize automatically between the NAS and the offline folders and files cached on the nw9440.

While a manual synchronization can be performed successfully, when he reconnects the nw9440 to the NAS Docking Station, synchronization does not occur and the "Enable Offline Folders" checkbox is unchecked.

How can we configure his nw9440 so that "offline folder synchronization" occurs automatically and is persistently enabled?
