Proliant ML310 - RAID 5 keeps verifying after drive replacement

Hard drive 1 was degraded, it was then replaced (with same model drive), the system keeps verifying for two weeks now! Any ideas what the issue might be?

It has(d) 3 logical drives. Logical drive 1 is the OS (only spans 0,2,and 3 drives - used to span all 4), Logical drive 2 has now failed (recovery), and logical drive 3 keeps verifying (spans 0,1,2,3 drives).

if doesnt work try to upgrade firmware of
System ROM and the HP Storage Controller Manager.
For the ProLiant ML310 G3 Server, upgrade the System ROM to a Version dated August 30, 2006 (8/30/2006). The latest version of the System ROM for the ProLiant ML310 G3 is located at the following URL:

there are some know issue on that

I updated the system BIOS (v.2007.8.3), still keeps verifying. Went to the array utilities, ran a verify on the physical drive that was inserted and it checked out OK. There was an option to accept the arrays, however, I'm not sure if that keeps only the two logical drives (OS and Data) and removes the recovery partition.

Please any help is welcomed.

It's already updated to the 4.10-4590 SATA RAID Controller Manager.

Is this a common problem on the ML310 G3's?

what is size of Disk ? may be a defective one ? there a know issue but fixed with firwmare cited above

All 4 hard drives are are Maxtor 6H500F0, 500GB. The logical drive C:\ has less than 15% of free disk space (about 1.1 GB free, 7.5%) remaining. Could that be causing the problem? The logical drive DATA has 713GB free.
