Service Release taking long time

I am applying Servcie Release 5.5 to my DL380 G4 Storage Server. It has been running over 2 hours w/ ~50 cpu activity and smoe activity on disk drives (no users connected). How long should this process take? I just completed rebuilding w/ QuickRestore DVD. I will apply SR 6.4 after this completes.

Re: Service Release taking long time

so i assume directly from Nas'console
and also SR is loaded from local DVD/CD drive ?
one trick may be not faced with is during
SR run, network driver are updated so
if you have SR package remotely, you loose connection and never resume it

Re: Service Release taking long time

I let the server run over night w/ no change. After forcing the update task (via Task Manager) to close, it continued on as I would have expected. Looks like I am OK at the moment, but not sure what got hung up??

Re: Service Release taking long time

well normally you should have a small icon
on desktop after installation double click on
should check if service release as been correctly installed
is it the first service releases installed on this machine ?

Re: Service Release taking long time

Yes, this was the first SR I applied after rebuilding using Quick Restore. I am now haing trouble trying to install SR 6.4. I am able to access DVD locally, but it indicates some folders are encrypted? Currently I am progressing OK by remoting to a UNC attached drive from my laptop where I have placed the DVD.
