UID Flashing Blue Light, Nas 1500s

What is this thing? I've not noticed it before, so I'm assuming that it just recently started flashing. I can't find any reference to it in the manual other than a diagram showing where it is located. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It is a simple UID button. There is one on the rear panel too. The behaviour is either flashing or steady. The purpose is to help identify the correct unit to someone standing on the front side before you start connecting/disconnecting cables on the back side of a rack.

Hi guys. This was the closest post to what I had going on so I thought I'd give it a shot. My UID light is flashing red/amber. Does anyone know why? Thanks

usually when it is blinking, it is because someone is connected to it remotely through ILO.

Hu? I am not familiar with the NAS1500, but the UID light in normally BLUE.
