1/8 Autoloader 1760 SAS and tapes without barcode labels
I used standard labels for the tapes (wich are in the box with tapes) and manually wrote days of the week in each tape. In the user guide is explained that this also work, but "barcode labels speed up the inventory time".
It's work indeed, but from time to time (approximately one time on week) the backup fails with message from data protector that the media is invalid or invalid barcode. And all scheduled tasks stops. This is happens with random tapes. The Autoloader device and the tapes are almost new, only 1 month works and recommended cleaning is unnecessary, I think.
If any body have had some kind of problem with tapes without barcode labels?

I don't like to use barcodes.
Simply to use manual typed labels for the tapes

I will try with SP1.
How to install new version? Can I install over older version (to save my created jobs and scripts and what will happens with my upgrade licenses. I've upgraded DP Express SSE, to DP Express (BB117BT) and have also additional network licenses for backup (BB122BA) ?

The link in thread is broken. Here is the new download link -https://assets.ext.hpe.com/is/content/hpedam/documents/4aa6-2000-2999/4aa6-2811/4aa6-2811enw.pdf
Found on this page with other technical papers -
https://www.hpe.com/us/en/storage/storeever-tape-storage.html#Resources
Expand the “Resources” section to “Show More”. You should see the document - ‘Bar code and RFID labels for HPE tape automation with HPE bar code labels in a highly effective tape management system technical paper’
