1/8 G2 autoloader - barcode or not?

Hi all, I have a problem with a 1/8 G2 autoloader.

How can I determine if the autoloader does have the barcode reader installed or not?
Our problem is the very long time it takes to inventory the media each time we change one of the libraries, so it would be *much* better if the unit would simply scan the barcodes and thus perform a "quick inventory" instead of the normal (slow) inventory.

Also, in case the barcode reader is not installed, is it possible to install it now?
How do I find its part number to place the order?
Will it be user-installable?

All 1/8 G2 autoloaders have a barcode reader. The barcode reader is built into the gripper assembly. HP highly recommends the use of barcodes.

As Curtis mentioned the barcode reader is a part of the picker assembly.
If the equipment is in United States then you may call 1-800-345-1518 to purchase Labels from an HP-Authorized Reseller.

I've tested and yes, the 1/8 G2 autoloader DOES indeed have the barcode reader.

Now my inventories are really *quick*!
