What is the 2nd SAS port on the newer LTO-5 and LTO-6 tape drives used for?
Manual for my MSL 2024 shows me it is there but doesn't tell me what it's for or if I should connect anything to it.
Thanks.

SolutionThe 2nd SAS port (SAS B) is used for testing purpose and cannot be used to configure "Data path port failover".
Data path port failover is applicable to HP LTO-5 and LTO-6 dual-port Fibre Channel tape drives.
Hope this helps!
Regards
