Re: after upgrade same speed
Hello,
Besides checking on the performance tools already sugested, there is a limitation on how fast you can go on these MSLs, since an E1200-320 4Gb router has enough bandwidth to sustain only one LTO4 drive.
Also, only one NSR card is allowed per library level, hence the maximun configuration that will allow you to get the best performance out of the library would be an MSL6060 (10U size) with 2 E1200-320 4G and 2 LTO4 drives (supossing your MSL is not a hot-plug version)
HP StorageWorks MSL5000 Tape Library and the MSL6000 Tape Library (Hot Plug Versions) Speed Limitations:

The HP StorageWorks MSL6030 and MSL6060 tape libraries only support up to one HP StorageWorks e1200-320 router card per level of the library

HP StorageWorks MSL5000/6000 Interface Controller/Fibre Router Does Not Have Enough Bandwidth for Two HP StorageWorks LTO-4 Ultrium 1840 Tape Drives
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=110&prodSeriesId=254838&prodTypeId=12169&objectID=c01122518
Hope this helps
