Backup - no success

We have HP StorageWorks 1/8 G2 Tape Autoloader
and Ultrium 920 tape drive (SCSI). We use Retrospect for backups. Backup always begins fine, but after a little while status remains
"write" but anything happends. We tried with a
new SCSI-card and cable, without any success.
Can somebody help us?

Does the loader have a terminator at the back? Does retrospect sees the media changer?
